Kat Painter earned a BSBA with a degree in Marketing Management from the University of Alabama. She transformed her body, mind and soul after deciding to get healthy and drop nearly 30 pounds 14 years ago. After spending most of her life in Alabama, she now resides in Los Angeles, California. She has been actively involved in the fitness industry for the past 12 years working as a group exercise instructor, certified personal trainer, sports nutritionist, weight-loss consultant, PT manager, fitness director, and fitness company owner.
During the past 8 years, Kat has also competed and placed in the top 5 in fitness, figure, fitness modeling, bikini, power lifting, and made the contender finals for the American Gladiators in Los Angeles. Currently, Kat serves as an advocate for the “Fighting Obesity Campaign”, “Safe Passage” and the “Dream Again Campaign”. As an avid fitness enthusiast, she used her entrepreneurial skills and started several boot camp programs in Alabama, Tennessee, and California to get hundreds of people in shape and adopt an active lifestyle. Kat enjoys volunteering her time at schools speaking about body image, fitness, and nutrition. Aside from being an avid health and fitness enthusiast, she is the Owner, Publisher and Chief-in-Editor of a print and digital publication primarily for females, FitnessX Magazine.
Kat is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) specializing in various types of training like core stabilization, strength, sport-specific, functional, interval/circuit training, and flexibility training. Kat has 9 years of professional experience with training clients of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. She takes all all her clients’ exercise programs seriously, always striving to improve their overall appearance, increase their energy levels, maximize their results, and enhance their overall sense of well-being. Kat states, “First and foremost, it’s all about YOU! What is your lifestyle? What are your interests?”
These days, people tend to focus on everyone/everything else except themselves, making it difficult to find time and energy to dedicate to fitness. Kat wants to work with you to find a program that not only helps you achieve your fitness goals, but also fits into your lifestyle. She will tailor a program for you that is challenging, yet safe, incorporating resistance, flexibility, cardio, as well as other modes of training. Kat wants to empower you with the knowledge of training safely, yet effectively, by teaching you to push yourself while maintaining proper body alignment and technique as you work to achieve your specific goals. Starting (and continuing) a fitness program means not only challenging yourself physically, but also mentally. There are many factors that can make it difficult to keep up the momentum; Kat strives to keep the exercise programs fun, fresh, and full of variety so that you will stay motivated, and continue to look forward to their next session!
